66 DIVISION TROOPS ASSISTED TO COMMUNITY THROUGH DONATION PROGRAMME

Troops of 66 Division under Security Forces – Kilinochchi organized a donation programme of school stationery for school children and necessary items for pregnant mothers with simple ceremony held at Wannerikulam Maha Vidyalaya on 18 June 2017.

The donation of items worth Rs. 300,000 was made by Vishvwa Parami Foundation in response to a request made by the Major General Duminda Keppetiwalana General Officer Commanding – 66 Division.

100 students from Wannerikulam  Maha Vidyalaya the recipients of those incentives. Same time 15 necessary item packs also donated for pregnant mothers in Poonaryn area and those packs containing with mosquito nets, flask, milk powder, baby soap and main 25 items which need for them.

Major General Duminda Keppetiwalana General Officer Commanding – 66 Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Brigade Commanders of 661 and 662 Brigade, Senior Military Officers, principal, teachers, parents, students and serving troops attended the event.

During the event Sath Ranga dancing team and school children performed their talent and entertained the audience. All participants in the ceremony were tasted with especial packets of refreshments offered by 66 Division towards the end of the day’s event.
